The movie soundtrack can be just as important and effective as anything we’re seeing on screen, especially when it comes to the horror film. Just think of The Omen, The Exorcist, or even Creepshow. This episode we discuss some of our favorites and why we think they are effective.
Below are all the titles that are mentioned during the podcast, some in more details than others! Be sure to check some of these out and next time you’re watching one of them, or any movie, maybe pay a little more attention to what you’re hearing.

Congrats on another great Podcast with an excellent topic! You guys certainly discussed a very wide topic of titles! I have always felt that some of my favorite horror films would not have been nearly as good without the company of a powerful soundtrack. Here is my personal list of 10 choice films with truly exceptional scores: Planet of the Apes, Alien, Blade Runner, 2001 – A Space Odyssey, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Theatre of Blood, Hands of the Ripper, The Fearless Vampire Killers, Blood on Satan’s Claw.

Thanks for the praise, Todd! We really appreciate it!
I am also a big fan of the Blade Runner score. I didn’t realize Hands of the Ripper had a score released?!?! Need to find that! Can’t have a Hammer score out there that is not in my collection!
