Now that Cinevent is in the books, lets look ahead to our next two shows coming up real soon.
Next month we head to Mars, PA, once again for the Monster Bash. Damn, do I just love this show. They have a great guest lineup this year, including Ricou Browning, the last living classic Universal monster! Their other guests include: Beverly Washburn, Martine Beswicke, Veronica Carlson, Christopher Neame, Sharyn Moffett, Cortlandt Hull, Kris Yeaworth, Tom Savini, and John Russo. They also have a few notable authors there, another reason I love this show, such as Troy Howarth, Frank Dello Stritto, Tom Weaver, Gregory Mank, Deborah Painter, and Robert Michael Cotter.
From all the classic movie screenings going on throughout the weekend, including the premiere of Joshua Kennedy’s House of the Gorgon. And don’t forget about the crazy Mexican Monster Night with a rare screening of The Ghost in the Monastery (1934). It’s in Spanish and no subs, but is supposed to be a great looking print and easy enough to follow. So there is plenty of fun to be had, not to mention one of the best dealer rooms around. This is all taking place from June 21st to the 23rd. Hope to see you there. For all the details, head over to their site HERE.
Our next stop on the Tour is in our backyard, in Rosemont, IL, for the Flashback Weekend, taking place Aug. 2nd to the 4th. With Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell appearing, it is going to be a huge show. All you Evil Dead fans are not going to want to miss this.
If you’re a Nightmare on Elm Street fan, then you’re not going to want to miss this one. Not only do they have Robert Englund, they also have Heather Langenkamp, Amanda Wyss, Lisa Wilcox, Tuesday Knight, and Toy Newkirk.
What about a Night of the Creeps Reunion? Appearing there will be director Fred Dekker, stars Tom Atkins, Jason Lively, Jill Whitlow, Steve Marshall, and Ken Heron.
Other guests include Lance Henriksen, Melinda Clarke, Cerina Vincent, Alicia Witt, Ted Raimi, Robert Kurtzman, and a Candyman reunion with both Tony Todd and Virginia Madsen. Not a bad lineup, huh?
Plus, this will be the convention where my book, Discover the Horror: One Man’s 50-Year Quest for Monsters, Maniacs, and the Meaning of it All, will making it’s official convention debut. So make sure you stop by our table to pick up your copy!
