Music Box of Horrors Unleash More Titles

With only a month to go, the Music Box Theater announced on their website more titles for their upcoming 24-hour marathon, known as the Music Box of Horrors, as well as a special guest announcement.

Cenobites

Hginger snapsere’s a list of the titles:

The Cat and the Canary (1927)
The Funhouse (1981)
Hellraiser (1987)
Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)
Dark Waters (1993)
In the Mouth of Madness (1994)
Tales from the Hood (1995)
The Craft (1996)
Ginger Snaps (2000)
Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale (2010)

All of the above films will be screened from either 16mm or 35mm, except Dark Waters, which be from a digital format. I love that these are not only mainly from film prints, but that at least they are being upfront and honest with their audience!

DarkWatersDVDMariano Baino, the director the highly underrated Dark Waters, will be in attendance at the marathon! Recently released on Blu-ray from Severin Films, this a film you don’t want to miss the opportunity of seeing it on the big screen. In fact, if I’m not mistaken, this is the first time this movie has been screened in Chicago. I can’t recommend this Lovecraftian nunsploitation flick enough.

Of course, we will be set up there as usual. Plus there will be plenty of other vendors there to join in the fun. Here’s the other vendors they have listed:

Graveface Records
Bric-A-Brac Records
House of Movie Monsters
Pretty Spooky Handmades
Broke Drawers
LIXonline
Artists Christ Kutcha and Jonathan LaMantia
Tattoo Artist Chloe Pinnock
Severin Films

And like last time, they will be having food trucks stopping by to fill those empty bellys throughout the night. Look for Viet Nom-Nom, Empanada Girl, and Taco in a Bag.
