Full Lineup for Midway’s Dusk-to-Dawn Horrorfest

Over at the Midway’s website, they have the final lineup posted for this year’s Dusk-to-Dawn horrorfest and it is a beauty!

Originally announced at their show, one of the titles were going to be Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, but that is no longer showing on their lineup. But they still have some other great classics in there. They had already posted that they would be screening James Cameron’s Aliens (1986) and Romero’s Day of the Dead (1985), but now have announced what the other two features are going to be.

Halloween II (1981), the one that I would consider the best of all the Halloween sequels, and one that I still think holds up rather well these days, will be the second feature in the lineup, right after Aliens.

The 3rd feature was the already mentioned Day of the Dead. But the last one…is one that you really need to stay for…Bill Lustig’s 1980 slasher Maniac, starring Joe Spinell, and featuring some incredible makeup effects by Tom Savini. I’m more than thrilled to have the opportunity to see this on the big screen at the drive-in. Just amazing. Not only does this film have some incredible gore sequences, but it is a well-crafted tale of madness and child-abuse.

There will be some horror vendors there, including yours truly, with some our usual mini-library of horror reference books, with our partner-in-crime, Horror Slave with her amazing pillows and tote bags. As well as Lix with their amazing array of hoodies, shirts, hats, and plenty of other great horror apparel. So bring a little extra popcorn money!

The date is Saturday, September 23rd The movies start at dusk, but make sure you get there early to get a good spot, do some shopping, and just hang out and have a great time at the drive-in! For all the information, head over to their website HERE.
