Monster Bash’s Frankenstein Fest

PalaceOctoberFest

There is something to be said about seeing the old Universal classic monster films on the big screen. As many times as we’ve seen them on our TVs, it still doesn’t have the same impact of seeing them projected on a huge screen, inside a theater with a  bunch of like minded film fans. There really is something magical about it and is something that every fan of these wonderful films should have the chance to experience that way. Well, if you’re anywhere near Canton, Ohio in October, then you will have the chance to do just that.

On October 13th & 14th, at the Palace Theatre, Monster Bash will be having their Octoberfest by playing all 8 of the Frankenstein films from Universal. Tickets for all the features is only $40, which is a steal for what you’re getting to see and experience on in a grand old theater, like the Palace. Here’s a breakdown of the event:

frankenstein1

On Friday, doors open at 3pma and the features start at 6pm. They are screening:

Frankenstein
Bride of Frankenstein
Son of Frankenstein
Ghost of Frankenstein

Then on Saturday, the doors open at 12pm and the features start at 3pm. They are screening:

Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man
House of Frankenstein
House of Dracula
Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein

Ghost-of-Frankenstein

I know if it was closer and our Octobers are so packed to begin with, I’d be making it out for this. I’ve been lucky enough to see all the original classic Universal monster movies on the big screen (some even at a Drive-in!), but not any of the sequels besides Bride. So this is a great and unique opportunity for Frankenstein and monster fans to enjoy!

Of course, Ron and the Monster Bash folks will be set up in the lobby so you’ll have plenty of goodies to browse through in between the features. For more information about this event, just click HERE.
